The Skytanking organisation has two divisions, ‘Fuel’ and ‘Airport Operations’, the Fuel division is head-quartered in Hamburg, Germany and a part of Primeflight (head-quartered in Houston, USA). All references in this JD are on the basis of operating within the Airport Operations division only; which is currently based in London, England and operating in the U.K., Netherlands and Italy.
A key member of our busy, solution focussed HR team and working directly with the Operational team, this new Talent Acquisition role will be directly accountable for attracting, sourcing, and hiring qualified candidates to meet our recruitment requirements. Your primary role will be to ensure that we have a talented workforce that contributes to our overall success. You will be able to gather and provide local market information and knowledge to assist hiring managers and to ensure Skytanking is competitive in the industry, recommending changes and develop local recruitment activities to promote diversity and inclusion, to share best practice and candidate pools across the region.
Supporting the local hiring Managers through the full recruitment process, from REQ creation, search and selection, to offer, following all group policies and procedures, to ensure we deliver a standardised process, achieved within the agreed company target which promotes best practise in the workplace.

Your tasks
JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES LINKED TO OBJECTIVE AREAS 
  • Centre of expertise for recruitment, seeking out and sharing best practise, reviewing, and suggesting different sources of recruitment, with the aim of Skytanking attracting the best talent.
  • Manage the recruitment process from sourcing to onboarding, ensuring a smooth and efficient candidate experience.
  • Collaborating with hiring managers to understand their vacancy requirements and manpower plans and agree a job brief / requirement including airport & team specific requirements and required qualifications for the role.
  • Develop a suite of recruitment interview questions, assessments, and key job descriptions.
  • Proactively develop resourcing plans with Hiring Managers based on their demand plans, including commitments to key dates and deadlines aligned with key operating periods / airport schedules.
  • Develop a suite of resourcing materials including competency-based interview templates and other supporting documentation, to aide recruitment process and ensure that everything is ready in advance.
  • Develop and implement creative resourcing strategies to attract qualified candidates, including utilising various channels such as job boards, social media, headhunting, CV searching, advertising, networking, and employee referrals.
  • Manage and actively promote the Employee referral process.
  • Managing all job postings and carry out proactive candidate searches.
  • Plan, organise and run recruitment fairs at airports to raise profile of Skytanking as an employer of choice at the airport.
  • Support Skytanking to develop a strong EVP and / or Employer brand in the marketplace by utilising digital marketing techniques on social media platforms.
  • Complete telephone screening for candidates as required to assess their skills, experience, cultural, and values fit.
  • Assist in shortlisting applicants for hiring managers, paying attention to diversity to support our strategic goals.
  • Provide weekly updates to hiring managers regarding their recruitment activities to keep them informed and engaged throughout their recruitment process.
  • Chase hiring manager for interview dates and make the necessary arrangements to schedule interviews.
  • Ensure all candidates (internal and external) receive robust feedback following the interview process.
  • Building and maintaining a pipeline of potential candidates for future hiring needs
  • Working with the HR and Operational team, make job offers to select candidates, including facilitating salary and contract negotiations.
  • Keeping abreast of industry trends, best practices, and legal requirements related to recruitment and talent acquisition including directly accountable for complying with all legislative reporting requirements associated with recruitment in the UK, Netherlands and Italy
  • Full administrative support to the recruitment process including updating internal systems and directly accountable for maintaining a candidate and vacancy tracking database, including accurately recording candidate applications 
  • Tracking and maintaining recruitment metrics, such as time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, and quality of hires, to measure the effectiveness of recruitment strategies.
  • Report on recruitment and activity weekly and monthly.
  • Work with the HR & Station Administrator teams to support with the completion of Right to work assessments, employment references and all pre-employment checks, where required.
  • Work with the HR Business Partner to conduct regular succession planning and manpower planning reviews throughout the business, and work proactively to support with any identified Talent Acquisition requirements.
  • On behalf of the HR team conduct all Exit Interviews with employees – and identify trends or areas for improvement from a talent acquisition perspective and provide feedback on all other aspects to the relevant operational managers and wider HR team.
  • Participate in function specific and cross functional projects as requested.

Your profile
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS    
  • At least 5 years’ experience as a Talent Acquisition Manager within a European organisation, and experience of recruiting in UK, Italy and Netherlands within a similar customer base but ideally within Ground Handling 
  • Experience of the full recruitment life cycle, intake calls, advertising, pipelining, search and selection, interviewing, scheduling and offer management.
  • Proven track record of placing similar candidates across all levels, including senior management/ director level roles
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build rapport with ease.
  • Excellent sourcing and networking abilities to identify and attract top talent.
  • Ability to pro-actively approach and attract candidates to create a diverse shortlist of candidates.
  • Solid knowledge of recruitment techniques and best practices
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems.
  • Experience in using job boards, LinkedIn recruiter and CMS.
  • Ability to assess candidates' qualifications and cultural fit through interviews and assessments.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize and manage multiple hiring processes simultaneously.
  • Ability to manage a dynamic requisition load 
  • A sense of urgency, working at pace and unparalleled attention to detail.
  • Proactive and results-oriented mindset, with a focus on meeting recruitment targets and deadlines.
  • Knowledge of relevant labour laws and regulations to ensure compliance throughout the recruitment process.

  • Role to be based at our Heathrow head office (may be some flexibility to work from home 1 day per week) but may also require travel across airport network so there is a requirement to possess a full clean UK driving licence.
